I finally went to see The Help last night and if you haven’t already seen it, you MUST go!! The Help is a quality film about an aspiring author played by Emma Stone during the civil rights movement in Mississippi. Emma’s character “Skeeter” is unlike the rest of her bridge playing girlfriends…she returns from college and lands a job at the local newspaper writing for a cleaning advice column. Her real ambition, is to move to New York and write a book but for now this job is going to have to due. The only problem is that she doesn’t know a thing about cleaning! She will ask one of her friends if she could borrow her “Help” played by Viloa Davis a few hours a day to review readers letters. It is through their meetings does “Skeeter” get the inspiration to write her book.
